Paul M Sweezy (1910-2004) was educated at Harvard University where he received his Ph.D. in 1937. He was the author of many books, most notably, Theory of Capitalist Development and Monopoly Capital (with Paul Baran). In 1949, Sweezy, with Leo Huberman (1903-1968), founded Monthly Review.
