The work encompasses newer approach and interpretations of the data and facts as well as new trends of history which emerged out in the contemporary period.
Kanti Lal Mathur served as Professor and Head, Department of History, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He is a well known scholar studying the socio-economic history of medieval Rajputana. Numerous research papers in the national and reputed journals have been published in to his credit pertaining to the social and economic history of medieval period. He has a keen interest in the contemporary archival source material of the erstwhile states of Rajputana which have been very scarcely utilized. He is member of many Academic and Professional bodies. Presently, he is Senior Academic Fellow, Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.
